Chandigarh defeated Punjab by five wickets in an exhibition wheelchair cricket match held at DAV College, Sector 10, Chandigarh, on September 19, 2026. Organised by the Wheelchair Cricket Association of Chandigarh Tricity under the “Stronger Without Drugs” campaign, the event promoted an inclusive sporting culture, a healthy lifestyle and a drug-free society. Punjab scored 109 runs for five wickets in 15 overs, while Chandigarh successfully chased the target, scoring 112 runs for five wickets in 13.5 overs. Rohit Anotra led Chandigarh’s victory with an impressive 55 runs off 22 balls. Punjab Governor and Chandigarh Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria attended the event and encouraged the players. The Punjab Cricket Association also announced sports wheelchairs for players from both teams, supporting the growth of inclusive sports.
