Air India Express is planning to restore direct flight connectivity from Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport, Chandigarh, to Sharjah and Abu Dhabi under its winter schedule. The Sharjah service is expected to resume from October 26, 2026, with four flights per week planned. Some formalities with Sharjah airport authorities are still pending. The renewed services are expected to make travel to the UAE more convenient for Chandigarh and neighbouring residen.
